That is so sad… Imagine what that poor little animal is set to potentially face very soon, with the very cold Wisconsin fall approaching… I hope someone can catch the little one and keep him safe and warm indoors, until it’s fur grows back… I wish society cared enough to try to stop diseases like mange from spreading to wild animals, as well as finding a way to cure the existing cases. Their fur is the #1 essential key to their survival. So sad that they ever have to suffer at all.

I think you may get a lot more information on this plant if you look up "Clivia" flowers. Winter Lily's are apparently Clivia's and a member of the Amarylis family which also blooms in the winter.

Thus, winning the lottery would be the same, statistically, and having lightning strike an object in your yard.

(Winning the lottery is like thunder (lightning) in the yard.)
